The following incidents were listed among the official reports of the Morton Grove Police Department. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination.

POSSESSION

Clifford Ham, 23, of 121 S. Clay St., Hinsdale, was charged April 21 with possession of a controlled substance, believed to be ketamine, a general anesthetic frequently used in veterinarian medicine and also as a recreational drug. Ham received a May 8 court date in Skokie Municipal Court. Bond information was not available.

DUI

Elroy Dawson, 35, of 7931 Kenneth Ave., Skokie, was charged April 21 with driving under the influence after he allegedly registered a blood alcohol level of .128, one-and-a-half times the legal limit of .08. Elroy received a $1,000 bond and a May 11 court date in Skokie Municipal Court.

Salvador Garcia, 37, of 4464 Main St., Skokie, was charged April 21 with driving under the influence after he allegedly recorded a blood alcohol level of .146, nearly twice the legal limit of .08, following a traffic stop on the 6500 block of Palma Lane. Garcia received a $1,000 bond and a May 30 court date in Skokie Municipal Court.

James McDonaugh, 53, of 8545 National Ave. Niles, was charged April 22 with driving under the influence after he allegedly recorded a blood alcohol level of .346, four times the legal limit, following a one-car accident near Dempster Street and Waukegan Road. McDonaugh received a May 8 court date in Skokie Municipal Court. Bond information was not available.

TRAFFIC

Spearo Johns, 26, of 7917 Odell Ave., Niles, was charged April 20 with driving while his license was suspended following a traffic stop near Dempster Street and Waukegan Road. Johns received a $1,000 bond and a May 30 court date in Skokie Municipal Court.

Nico Stirbu, 25, of 6343 N. Cicero Ave., Chicago, was charge April 20 with driving while his license was suspended following a traffic stop near Church Street and Mansfield Avenue. Stirbu received a $1,500 bond and a May 9 court date in Skokie Municipal Court.

Omolar Lawal, 23, of 6113 N. Hoyne Ave., Chicago, was charged April 22 with driving while his license was suspended following a traffic stop near Dempster Street and Athletic Avenue. Lawal received a $1,500 bond and a May 11 court date in Skokie Municipal Court.

Biljana Stanojevic, 21, of 9448 N. Washington Ave., Niles, was charged April 23 with driving without a valid license following a traffic accident near Washington and Golf Road. Stanojevic received a $1,500 bond and a May 25 court date in Skokie Municipal Court.

Johnathon, Moore, 22, of 4943 Belleplaine Ave., Chicago, was charged April 24 with driving while his license was suspended following a traffic stop near Dempster Street and Central Avenue. Moore received a $1,500 bond and a May 11 court date in Skokie Municipal Court.

Rigoberto Ortiz, 21, of 4507 W. Parker Ave., Chicago, was charged April 24 with driving while his license was suspended following a traffic stop on the 8600 block of Dempster Street. Ortiz received a $3,000 bond and a May 11 court date in Skokie Municipal Court.

Arkaday Peck, 59, of 1825 Kendale Drive, Glenview, was charged April 24 with leaving the scene of an accident in a parking lot on the 6300 block of Oakton Street. Peck received a $1,500 bond and a May 25 court date in Skokie Municipal Court.

THEFT

Jin Lei, whose age was not listed in the police report, of 1634 RFD, Long Grove, was charged April 20 under local ordinance with theft after he allegedly attempted to leave Menards, 6301 Oakton St., without paying for $36 worth of nails. Lei received a $150 fine.

About $8 in change was reported stolen April 18 from a vehicle parked on the 6800 block of Dempster Street.

A portable toilet valued at about $900 was reported stolen from Oketo Park, 8950 Oketo Ave.

Blankets, packing boxes and other assorted moving items valued at nearly $700 were reported stolen April 22 from a vehicle parked on the 6200 block of Madison Court.
