New Morton Grove Park Board commissioner to be appointed

The Morton Grove Park District has announced the appointment of resident Rusmir Zec to the Board of Commissioners.

He was to be officially sworn into office June 27 at a special board meeting.

Zec grew up in the Morton Grove/Niles area. He and his wife, Krystal, have lived in Morton Grove since 2005 and have three young children.

The Zec family uses the Park District facilities often and attend many of the summer special events. Their children ages 6, 5 and 3 are also involved in a variety of Park District activities throughout the year.

“We feel confident that Mr. Zec brings a wide range of skills which will complement the board,” said Board President Betty Fergus.
