Niles Township computer classes in April, May

Niles Township Government spring 2012 Computer Classes online or in person. There is limited seating and classes run from April 16 through May 18.
Course Offerings:
Introduction to Computing: Basic course for all ages. Introduction to Computer hardware, software/Intro MS Office and email. Mondays, April 16-May 7, 6-9 p.m.
Introduction to Presentations /PowerPoint: Course for all ages: Creating slides, presentations, media objects, and proposals. Mondays and Wednesdays, April 16-May 9, noon to 2 p.m.
Introduction to Spreadsheets/Excel: Learn to manage data, create databases, and use templates and basic accounting tools. Tuesdays and Thursdays, April 17-May 10, 6:30-8:30 p.m.
Internet/Email Basics: Send, socialize, surf and shop safely. An introduction to social networks, email extras, group file sharing, and the latest free gadgets for the home user. Wedsnesdays, April 17-May 7, 6-9 p.m.
New: Friday Computer Labs: Bring your laptop, course provides free Wi-Fi or use of desktop workstations. Practice or work on projects with instructor guidance. Fridays, April 20-May 18, noon to 2 p.m.
Introduction to Computing and Internet/Email basics meets 1 day a week for 3 hrs for 4 weeks. Introduction to Presentations/PowerPoint & Spreadsheets/Excel courses meet two days a week, two hours for four weeks, eligible for continuing education credit for teachers.
The fee is $75 for Niles Township residents and $85 for out-of-district students. Fee includes an instructional workbook and use of Niles Township Lab computer. Friday Lab Fee is $30 for the series, or $10 per session.
Because there may be more applicants for this class than there are spaces, the first 10 students to download, complete, and return registration form with class fee will be enrolled for this session.
