A man who robbed a hair salon on Chicago’s Near North Side on Monday morning is believed to be the same man who has robbed several other salons in the area.
The most recent robbery happened about 10 a.m. Monday in the 1200 block of North Clybourn Avenue when the man walked into the business and demanded money, police said.
An employee handed him less than $200 cash and he ran out, police said. No one was injured.
Police believe the robber has also robbed two Lincoln Park salons in December 2012 and suburban salons in Bensenville, Lombard, Skokie, Niles, Glen Ellyn and Morton Grove.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic man with a light complexion; 30 to 35 years old; between 5-feet-4 and 5-foot-7 tall; and between 150 and 165 pounds, the alert said. He was last seen wearing a red jacket and gray skull cap. ~.
