Morton Grove police blotter for Nov. 15 — 22, 2012

The following incidents were listed among the official reports of the Morton Grove Police Department. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination.
THEFT
Hair care products valued at $39 were taken Nov. 5 from an envelope in the mailbox of a house on the 9300 block of National Avenue.
Santago Lujano, 33, of 6622 N. Francisco, Chicago, was arrested Nov. 18 and charged with retail theft. He was released on $1,500 bond with a Jan. 3 court date. Police reported that a security agent at Menard’s, 6301 Oakton St., saw Lujano put two impact sockets valued at $33 in a box with another item, pay for several items other than the sockets, and leave the store.
Jesus Enrique Arellano-Parra, 33, of 400 Inland, Wheeling, was issued a citation Nov. 15 for retail theft under a local ordinance. Police reported that a security agent at T.J. Maxx, 7250 Dempster St., saw Arellano-Parra put underwear valued at $26 in his coat pockets and leave the store.
An air conditioning unit was taken between Nov. 12 and 14 from a building on the 9100 block of Newcastle.
On Nov. 15, a woman pumped gasoline valued at $51 in her van at the Shell station at 5600 Dempster and drove away without paying.
DAMAGE
Christmas lights at a home on the 8500 block of Fernald Avenue were damaged between Nov. 15 and 17. The damage is estimated at $150.
