Economic Development panel releases 2012 plan
The Morton Grove Economic Development Commission has released it 2012 action plan.
The commission is looking for suggestions to improve its business-awards program.
Commissioners agreed to continue with the pet-adoption program, with one in the spring and one in the fall, reported David Lewis, commission chairman.
“And we may move the Health Expo to May,” he said, noting that last year’s event, which was the commission’s first, was held in September.
John Said, director of community and economic development, said he was working on putting together a real-estate luncheon to highlight Morton Grove.
“We were going to do it last year, but had to put it on hold because of the (construction) work on Dempster Street,” he said.
EDC seeks two members
The Morton Grove Economic Development Commission is looking for two new members.
The commission meets at 7 p.m. on the third Monday of each month.
Anyone interested may submit his resume to either David Lewis, commission chairman, or John Said, director of community and economic development, at Village Hall, 6101 Capulina Ave.
