The Park Ridge Fine Arts Society hosted its 52nd Annual Symphony Benefit at the Park Ridge Country Club, 636 N. Prospect Ave., Park Ridge on Nov. 10. The gala, attended by 140 guests began with a 6 p.m. reception followed by dinner at 7:30 p.m. and dancing to the music of Brian Patti and his orchestra. Tickets were $100 each. There was a silent auction and raffle. The benefit raised money to continue the Fine Arts Society’s free summer concert series in Hodges Park.

This year the organization is especially in need of financial support due to dwindling donations, loss of funding from local and state governmental agencies, rising costs and other economic factors, according to the Fine Arts Society Board. Musician and sound-system fees alone add up to approximately $10,000 per concert, said Society President Dennis Van Mieghem.

The Society’s 2013 Benefit will be held Saturday, Nov. 9, at the Park Ridge Country Club. See prfas.org.
