The Glitter Ball annual benefit gala and auction of the North Shore Board of the Northwestern Settlement House took place Nov. 3 at the Four Seasons Chicago. More than 400 business and community leaders attended, and raised over $300,000 for House In The Wood camp in Delevan, Wis., one of many community services provided by Northwestern Settlement. Funds raised through auctions will go directly to pay for campers’ tuition. Approximately 350 low-income children, ages 7-17, from the greater Chicago area attend camp annually. North Shore Board president, Mary Carter greeted guests and introduced a video about the camp. Co-chairmen were Winnetka residents Hillary Priest, Julie Rocap and Maureen Sullivan.
